Every March, Women’s History Month invites us to recognize the women who built something meaningful, often without a roadmap, while managing everything else life demands. In the creator economy, that story plays out every day. Women make up a significant portion of the creator workforce, and many of the most engaged, most trusted, and most innovative voices in affiliate marketing are theirs.
Some of them started creating during a hard season and found something unexpected on the other side. Others had been grinding on the wrong platform for years before finding their footing. A few just started sharing what they loved and watched it grow into something that changed their lives. Here are six incredible women in the Mavely community, and the stories behind what they’ve built.
1. Nicole Brown (@leliassoutherncharm) — Fashion & Lifestyle

Nicole launched her platform, Leila’s Southern Charm, in 2020 simply to answer the question she kept getting at work: “Where did you get that?” Named after her late grandmother, Lelia’s Southern Charm has grown into a community built on warmth, faith, and affordable everyday style. As a nano influencer approaching 10,000 followers, Nicole secured brand deals before even hitting 5,000, including a deeply personal collaboration with Cato Fashions, the very department store she used to visit with her grandmother as a child. About 70% of her creator income comes from brand deals and 30% from affiliate links, and she credits Mavely with making affiliate marketing accessible and intuitive from the start. Her guiding philosophy is simple: only recommend what you genuinely believe in, and be honest when something isn’t for you.
“It’s not about pushing a sale — it’s about building trust.”
2. Kristen Sullivan (@cookandstylewithkristen) — Food & Lifestyle

Kristen started sharing 30-minute dinner recipes online during her divorce, when she didn’t have her daughters for stretches of the week and needed a way to feel connected. What began as cooking with company evolved into a full-fledged food and lifestyle platform, Cook and Style with Kristen, spanning easy recipes, affordable fashion, and honest mom-life content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Since joining Mavely in early 2025, she’s been earning through brand partnerships and affiliate commissions, and she’s already setting her sights on something bigger: her own seasoning line, with Mavely providing the affiliate foundation to help her get there.
“I try to be real with my audience and circle back to my ‘why’ all the time.“
3. Kai Michelle (@mskaimichelle) — Fashion, Fitness, & Body Positivity

Kai started sharing outfits on Tumblr and Lookbook in high school, building her style on a budget through thrifting and creativity long before brand deals were part of the picture. Today, she’s a Dallas-based fashion creator with over 250,000 followers across platforms, known for bold, confidence-forward content and the trademark greeting— “Hello, my lovers and friends!”—that her community has made into something of a ritual, stopping her on the street to say it back. Kai joined Mavely in 2022 and, after an initial moment of skepticism, dove in fully once she connected with the team. Mavely’s analytics tools changed how she worked, giving her clarity on exactly what her audience was buying and responding to, which helped her sharpen her strategy without losing the authentic voice that built her following in the first place.
“Being an influencer isn’t easy — it’s a full-time job. But if you stay true to yourself and your audience, the opportunities will follow.”
4. Bobbi Thomas (@bobbiwiththeeye) — Fashion & Lifestyle

Bobbi started posting affordable workwear on Instagram in July 2023 because her colleagues kept asking where her outfits were from. Within months of pivoting to show dinners, carpools, and the texture of working-mom life in Reels, she grew from 20,000 to over 120,000 followers. She joined Mavely that September and landed her first brand partnership with Walmart, which she’s maintained on a near-monthly basis ever since: an unusual level of consistency for a lifestyle creator at her scale. Beyond her own growth, she’s actively mentored other creators through their first brand deals, genuinely invested in paying forward the opportunity she was given.
“Women tell me they feel seen. Whether they’re working moms, single moms, fur moms, we’re all just trying our best and trying to look cute while doing it.”
5. Kristina Roy (@kristina.roy) — Home Décor & DIY
When Kristina joined Mavely in the summer of 2024, she set a clear intention: if she was going to put in the effort, she wanted to see a real return. She found it quickly, hitting a $5,000 monthly sales milestone through Mavely’s Walmart affiliate program — and an additional $500 campaign performance bonus — every single month for seven consecutive months. That consistency gave her the confidence to commit to content creation as a full-time career, and she more than doubled her income in 2025. Her home décor and DIY content resonates precisely because it isn’t idealized: she posts even when the house is messy, because her audience is made up of real women navigating real life, and that honesty is what keeps them coming back.
“I’m not promoting perfection — I’m sharing what’s possible.”
6. Kristin Goodlow (@kristingoodlow) — Plus-Size Fashion

Kristin didn’t set out to become a fashion influencer. One Target try-on post resonated deeply with women who rarely see themselves reflected in mainstream fashion content, and everything shifted from there. A Tampa-based mom of 10, she joined Mavely in July 2025 and went all in, treating affiliate linking as her revenue foundation and brand campaigns as a bonus layer on top. She’s brought in five-figure months consistently ever since, with partnerships spanning Walmart, Kohl’s, Stanley, and American Eagle. She also credits Mavely’s free LinkDM integration with saving her hundreds of dollars per month compared to the paid tools she previously relied on, a discovery she’s been quick to share with fellow creators.
“I don’t have management. I didn’t know how to get into rooms or connect with brands at first. But I kept showing up.”
